A while back I interviewed Alex Barker, PharmD author of “Indispensible: Your Prescription For A Fulfilling Pharmacy Career”. It dawned on my after this semester, I’m following the path to my passion which he describes in his book.
I’m now one year into my master of public health degree, and it now dawned on me I’m on my path to advanced practice in pharmacy without the need to go to pharmacy school.
Many practitioners of health care share the credential of MPH, but you don’t normally see it with pharmacy technicians. That tells me that techs feel locked into their careers and resigned that there way they can advance their career.
I’m on a mission to prove there is.
